The Scene
A "transglobal" nightclub experience, a sumptuous, Eastern-flavored pleasure dome draped in exotic silks and suffused with red lights. Think Middle Eastern bazaar, with gyrating belly dancers and hookah girls in body paint and spangly outfits mixing in with the crowd. The first of Zentra's four rooms contains a massive copper-colored bar at the center, as well as plenty of couches and cushions tucked into corners. The best seats are in a corner booth draped with a chainmail curtain, great for keeping your harem in privacy. The upstairs dance floor is an East-meets-West playground for grown-ups: more belly dancers, throbbing electronic beats, swings and a crowd of 20-somethings shimmying and whirling.
The Draw
Champagne, martinis and sweet mixed drinks are popular options--this is not the place to hoist a brew, despite the presence of a beer garden next to the main bar room.
