The Specs

A small family owned and operated Mediterranean restaurant.

The Scene

Fresh Mediterranean Fare Urban Cafe is but another of a long list of fine Middle Eastern establishments offering vegetarians numerous selections on Apache Boulevard.

For appetizers, there's the familiar stuff: hummus, baba, dolmas, tabouli, garlip dip mashed potatoes; as well as fried cauliflower topped with tahini sauce.

For salads, the choices include a veggie pasta salad, Greek salad, and a "Healthy" salad (with avocado and black eyed peas).

Sandwiches include a veggie burger, a veggie pita sandwhich, an eggplant pita, and a falafel pita.

Urban Cafe also has three types of individual-sized pizzas: a veggie, a cheese, and a spinach version.

There's also a veggie combo platter that might be the best deal of all at $9.99.

For lunch, you can get a falafel special; which includes four falafels, rice, hummus, 2 pitas, and salad for just $6.

Open late on weekends.

One of the best kept secrets in Arizona. A small family owned and operated Mediterranean restaurant. The food is always very fresh and the owners are extremely nice and generous. Great lemon garlic chicken, fresh squeezed lemonade and a big variety of vegiteranean dishes and warps. Every thing is priced very reasonably since it's next to the ASU. Once you eat at Urban's you will want to go back every day.

A great place to eat. the service takes a bit, but its worth it cause its fresh made food. this is not fast food here. The people are really nice too.
