Dark, mysterious and cozy, with a wall of water, a floor of real grass, plush dining couches and vaguely Moorish architectural details, Tantra breathes a sensual, exotic air.
The Food
Ravishing ingredients like truffles, foie gras and lobster impart a sensual tone to a menu full of "aphrodisiac cuisine." Starters include a stunning lobster Napoleon, morsels of succulent crustacean and avocado sandwiched between thin slices of mango, drizzled with truffle vinaigrette. Then there's the Tantra Love Apple, a whole tomato sliced, smeared with goat cheese then reassembled and finished with basil oil. Filet mignon comes drizzled in black coffee sauce. Organic chicken is stuffed with truffles, placed atop an ethereal lobster mushroom frittata and surrounded by artichoke petals. Don't miss a restaurant signature: seared-raw tuna with opulent truffle-foie gras sauce. Save room for the luscious chocolate "goddess" cake with bourbon-flavored dark and white chocolates.
