Hookah Charcoal Description

Japanese Charcoals are a semi quick lighting brand designed for Hookah smoking. These Charcoals are tasteless, odorless and do not interfere with the flavor of the tobacco. These charcoals are considered by the avid Hookah smoker to be the best Charcoals available on the market. It is recommended that two pieces of Japanese Charcoals be used for every average sized bowl of Flavored Tobacco.

Each Stick of the Japanese Charcoals contains four individual charcoals. Each Box of the Japanese Charcoals contains Twenty Four sticks or 96 individual charcoals.

Great for outdoors
Takes a bit longer to light, but once lit, burns much longer than other charcoals. Almost no chemical smell. A great addition for outdoor smoking.

Better than instalights
These burn cleaner than self-lighting coals, with little taste and only require maybe 4 seconds with a lighter to get started. Real coals are still better, but stick with these if you don't want the hassle of lighting them. A good compromise of convenience and performance.

Excellent!
I really enjoy smoking with these charcoals. They are much better than quick-lights. They provide a smooth, flavorful, robust smoke without the charcoal flavor. Put down the quick-lights and switch NOW!
I recently also tried to "Exotica Easy Lite Hookah Coal" which provide a comparable, but less expensive alternative.
They best way to light these is over a stove- you can use a lighter or candle, but they take about a minute to fully catch. You can light a new one off of an existing lit coal.
These are a must try, but they lost a half star because of thier price. Try the Exotica alternative as well.

Decent
Similar to Luxor, other "Japanese", or Exotica semi QL, these coals are definitely better than your regular quick light, but are mighty small.

great coals, love em
These coals work well if you use a lighter or a stove. I even use a 25 cent butane lighter to light them while I'm camping. Last forever, too. Won't ever go back to the crappy round black things again.
