The Scene
The presence of Lebanese Americans on either side of the counter is a pretty good indication that this is the real thing. The contemporary Mediterranean decor is enhanced by the aromas coming from the kitchen. Friday and Saturday nights are extra special with live music. The menu includes awesome hummus, Baba Ghanouj (pureed, roasted eggplant), and grilled Cornish hen. The kitchen also offers a full line of kebabs, soups and salads, and authentic lamb dishes.
The Light
High energy atmostphere, late dining, hookahs, belly dancing - Al Amir has it all! The DJs spin the hottest international mixes from around the globe, including the latest Arabic, Persian, and Indian hits, as well as a few old favorites. Where else in Dallas can you sit with your entire entourage, gnosh hummus and felafel, enoy a hookah and your favorite Lebanese wine, watch traditional belly dancing, and then shimmy and debke 'til two a.m.
