The Scene
It is surprising that the upper East Side, home of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a more liberal population doesn't have more exotic restaurants and destinations, but it's slowly changing. 2 Sweet International Delight, opened in spring of 2005 near the intersection of Locust and Maryland, bringing a bit of Persian flavor and more to the upper East Side. 2 Sweet is a combines a small restaurant, hookah bar and juice bar. As a place for juice, 2 Sweet is one of the few places to find terrific smoothies. 2 Sweet is painted in vibrant colors, lush reds mixed with a who's who of the Crayola color spectrum, giving the bar a terrific atmosphere to hang out with friends or study for class (being a short walk from UWM doesn't hurt either). As a restaurant, 2 Sweet specializes in Middle Eastern cuisine such as falafels and American classics like Hamburgers. 2 Sweet brings a missing taste of the world to a tiny corner of Milwaukee.
